The youth of the society is almost forgotten. But, it is no doubt to be a critical part of our social system. We, the youth will soon be the adults of our world and shall be the ones who will continue the development and progression of our human civilization.
In a world full of silence, even one voice can be powerful. There is a lot of wisdom in the youth. Yet, it is just ignored most of the time.
Conformity. The value in which humans obey the societal and cultural norms of the society in order for them to be accepted. The youth of today are either conforming or deviating. The world that is so cruel provides these children, the youth, the courage to speak if and only if he/she had enough of the society's flaws. Yet where does these forms of courage come from? Experience, of course. We, the youth have seen the flaws of our society since the beginning of our lives; giving us the prime knowledge and ideas which are the ones that should be accepted in our society and which principles, norms, ethics, and such should be removed.
This is what it should be. This shouldn't be here. The basic concepts in which we should revise in order for us to structure our society in the best form possible. But what is the "the best form society"? the "best Filipino society"? In the best Filipino society, there would be no children who don't have access to education. There would be no children experiencing abuse. There would be no discrimination between various people due to socio-economic profiles. That would be the foundations of a perfect society. Unfortunately, we don't have that kind of society. Yet. And as the youth of our generation, we have the responsibility to strive for that. We have the duty to provide the best society for the next generation. And in order to do this, we have the obligation to gain knowledge, the experience, and the intellect to indicate the flaws and what should be improved in our society. One day, we the youth, will achieve this. For now, we are the soldiers of the youth. The ones who will become the salvation of humanity.
"All great things are simple. And many can be expressed in single words. Freedom, Justice, Duty, Mercy, Hope."
- Winston Churchill
